Virtual Postpartum IOP in Massachusetts

Specialized Maternal Mental Health Support From Home

For many mothers, accessing mental health support postpartum can feel incredibly difficult.

Even when a mother knows she needs help, barriers such as:

  • childcare

  • postpartum recovery

  • anxiety about leaving the house

  • transportation

  • feeding schedules

  • work demands

  • physical exhaustion

  • geographic limitations

can make consistent in-person care feel overwhelming or inaccessible.

At SOLEO Wellness, we believe mothers deserve access to specialized, compassionate support during pregnancy and postpartum — including when leaving home feels difficult.

SOLEO Day offers a fully virtual postpartum Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and perinatal day treatment track for women across Massachusetts, providing structured maternal mental health support from the comfort of home.

Our virtual program was designed specifically for the realities of pregnancy and postpartum and offers a higher level of care for mothers who may need more support than weekly therapy alone.

What Is a Virtual Postpartum IOP?

A virtual postpartum Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides structured mental health treatment for mothers experiencing postpartum anxiety, postpartum depression, trauma, OCD, burnout, emotional overwhelm, or difficulty functioning during pregnancy and postpartum.

Unlike weekly outpatient therapy, a postpartum IOP provides:

  • multiple therapeutic sessions per week

  • increased structure and accountability

  • community connection

  • ongoing emotional support

  • more consistent therapeutic care

At SOLEO, our virtual postpartum IOP allows mothers to receive specialized maternal mental health support while remaining in their home environment with their babies and support systems.

Our virtual programming mirrors the structure and clinical integrity of our in-person SOLEO Day program while increasing accessibility for women statewide.

Who May Benefit From Virtual Postpartum Mental Health Support?

Women may benefit from virtual postpartum IOP when they:

  • Need more support than weekly therapy

  • Feel emotionally overwhelmed most days

  • Are struggling with postpartum anxiety or depression

  • Experience intrusive thoughts or postpartum OCD symptoms

  • Feel isolated, disconnected, or emotionally exhausted

  • Are struggling to function day-to-day

  • Need more structure, accountability, or connection

  • Are recovering physically postpartum

  • Feel unable to consistently leave the house

  • Need specialized maternal mental health care but do not live near in-person services

Many women seeking virtual postpartum mental health support are still “functioning” outwardly while internally feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally flooded, or exhausted.

At SOLEO, we believe mothers deserve support before reaching a crisis point.

What Virtual SOLEO Day Includes

Our virtual postpartum IOP and perinatal day treatment program combines evidence-based clinical care with holistic, relationship-centered support designed specifically for mothers.

Virtual programming may include:

  • Therapist-led process groups utilizing CBT, DBT, and IFS-informed approaches

  • Individual therapy support

  • Medication management when clinically indicated

  • Nervous system regulation and mindfulness practices

  • Holistic support including meditation, sound therapy, and nutrition

  • Community-building and maternal connection

  • Collaborative care coordination with outside providers

  • Structured therapeutic support while remaining home with baby

Our goal is to help mothers feel more emotionally supported, regulated, connected, and less alone during one of the most vulnerable transitions of life.

Why Virtual Postpartum Support Matters

Many mothers delay seeking mental health support because the logistics of accessing care postpartum can feel impossible.

We often hear:

  • “I can’t imagine leaving the house right now.”

  • “I don’t have childcare.”

  • “I’m exhausted.”

  • “I live too far away.”

  • “I know I need more support, but I don’t know how I’d make it work.”

Virtual postpartum mental health treatment helps reduce barriers to care while still providing meaningful structure, therapeutic support, and connection.

At SOLEO, we have intentionally designed our virtual programming to feel deeply human, relational, and emotionally supportive — not simply like logging into another online appointment.

Specialized Support for Pregnancy & Postpartum

SOLEO supports women during pregnancy through the first two years postpartum who may be experiencing:

  • postpartum anxiety

  • postpartum depression

  • birth trauma

  • postpartum OCD

  • burnout

  • emotional overwhelm

  • nervous system dysregulation

  • difficulty adjusting to motherhood

We believe maternal mental health care should be accessible, specialized, and rooted in compassion.

Insurance + Access to Care

We work with most major health plans and are deeply committed to helping mothers access care, including offering scholarship support and flexible pathways for families experiencing financial or insurance-related barriers.

Our team works closely with families to help navigate insurance coverage, referrals, and next steps for care.

You Do Not Have To Navigate This Alone

Motherhood can feel incredibly isolating when you are struggling emotionally beneath the surface.

At SOLEO, we believe mothers deserve support that honors both the emotional and practical realities of pregnancy and postpartum.

If you are feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, anxious, or emotionally exhausted, support is available.
